So I can finally announce the winner of the free tea giveaway! But first a little insight into how I went about getting all the entries into the computer. I took all those who subscribed and added their emails to the list over at Random.org. Then I added additional or new entries for all the folks who went ahead and followed me EVERYWHERE (Facebook page, Twitter, Steepster, etc). Let me just say you all kept me busy (and also got yourselves some extra entries)…the last few weeks I’ve written down a lot of names…well over 100 when all was said and done when 9pm rolled around last night.
I then decided that whoever turned up in the number one spot when I hit randomize would be the winner. This is what the top ten looked like when all was said and done:

Our lucky winner was Todd G.! Funny story here folks. I know Todd in real life. In fact we once worked together at a local college. The real funny thing is I had no idea (until I saw him subscribe and follow me on Facebook) that he even liked tea! So it was really nice to connect with him again today. In fact I asked him to give me a little more information about himself to share with the rest of you.
Todd is now employed by the State University Construction Fund in Albany, NY. He lives in Schuylerville with his wife and 4 kids, two still in school with his oldest daughter now in the Navy. He has been in the Marine Corps for 26 years now (13 active and 13 Marine Reserve) and he just returned from an activation that had him in Romania for six months! (Thank you for your service Todd!) He and his wife love to hike and backpack in the Adirondacks and he also really loves photography (especially landscapes). His normal main squeeze is rich dark coffee but he mentioned he really enjoys having tea in the afternoon (and no he isn’t British – he and I quote “I just like it that way”).
Congratulations again Todd!! I’ll be sending out your tea in the mail this week. He’s also promised to let me know what he thought of it.
