Fall seems to be making an appearance here in Upstate, NY (trying to at least). So I thought I’d take today to try out a number of teas that have been sent to me to sample and review. The two teas in question are from Revolution Tea. Sonia was good enough to send me a large number of samples and I figured I should start drinking them soon…considering they samples arrived back in July! To say I’ve been busy is putting it mildly.
Anyway, I tried the Golden Chamomile last Sunday morning. That day my little sister got married. I woke up with a pretty nasty sore throat and figured I should see if this mix of chamomile and mint would help me out. I will say that this mix of the two herbs did help my throat out. But the taste wasn’t for me. I think there needed to to be more mint in this blend. Over on Steepster this rated a 46 in my book…which disappoints me as I tend to like a lot of what Revolution Tea has to offer. But I guess I simply can’t like them all. My wallet thanks me for it.
If you’d like to try Golden Chamomile head on over to http://www.revolutiontea.com/herbal-tea/ and try it yourself. Twenty pyramid infusers go for $8.25 a box.
Their Honeybush Caramel I’m trying today. There is a nice light breeze blowing through the house. My husband is in the basement working on who knows what. But I’m keeping an ear out in case a finger goes missing. I brewed up this caffeine free blend to help me relax a little more on this fine afternoon.
Let me tell you this one more than makes up for the herbal tea I mentioned above from last weekend. Everything about this one scream sweet caramel. The dry honeybush, well I wanted to eat it. The liquid here brews up to really pretty amber color. The taste…well, nothing but sweet sweet caramel. I have to say it is very soothing to sip this afternoon. I’m thinking this one mixed with a vanilla black tea of any kind would result in something out of this world…which means I now have a challenge! Do stay tuned!
If you want to try for yourself again head to their website where for $825 you too can pick up 20 pyramid bags.
Many thanks to Sonia again for the samples. I have five samples left to try. So look for at least one of them to hit the blog later this week.
I leave you with a photo…not of tea. I failed at taking photos of either tea. But instead of the dress I wore as a bridesmaid in the wedding (before the straps broke!).

I have to agree about the Chamomile – I purchased one of their gorgeous wooden sampler sets a year or two ago, with the pyramid infusers, and I enjoyed their black-leaf tea more than the tisanes. But glad to hear it helped your sore throat! That’s at least worth 20 points (if tea were scored like olympic gymnastics….degree of difficulty should count for something
.
Haha! Very true! I also find I like their non-herbal teas much more. I had a fantastic earl grey with lavender a few weeks back!
